2017-18 Instructional Innovation Fund (IIF)-(Mini Grants for Teachers)

With your generous donations at the Spring Gala last year, we raised over $110,000 so LCFEF could provide mini-grants to teachers to enhance our students’ learning opportunities. Throughout the Summer, teachers have been submitting ideas and budgets, see all the wonderful grants that have been awarded to teachers across all 5 schools in the district. Please note that all technology requests will require in depth explanation of how these technology items will lead to creativity and innovation in your instruction for this school year.

In July, 2017, we granted:

Description of the IIF-

Can you imagine that one day you were told that the fundamental way you were doing your job had to change? That would be pretty daunting for any of us. But that is exactly what happened to our teachers when new rigorous State content standards were adopted in California just a few short years ago.

However, teachers in LCUSD have clearly risen to the challenge; learning new approaches, developing new curriculum, searching out appropriate materials, and being open to a transformational change in the way they have been asked to educate our students.

To help our teachers, funds raised during the 2016-17 Gala Paddle Pledge are available to teachers through this application process for the 2017-18 school year.

Teachers can click here for the Application.

Applications will be accepted through February 1st, 2018 or until funds are exhausted.

A committee consisting of District administrators, LCFEF staff, and LCFEF volunteers will review the applications within three weeks of receipt and will then send out notifications or requests for more information.
